We do our best to do more than just document each wedding; for every couple we create a unique piece of art to tell their story. We LOVE destination weddings, and out door weddings in places like Napa California and Nestldown in the Los Gatos Mountains.

As we head into a wet weekend, I thought I'd share Bridget and Brad's wedding film. A HUGE and unexpected storm blew in on their wedding day and changed all their plans, but that didn't stop these two from having an amazing wedding! "Hurricane Bradget", as we all lovingly came to call it, was a torrential storm. It lightened up just enough (and these two were brave enough) to do their first sight outside! We even got to walk around the property a bit for some photo and video time in the rain!

This wedding is a perfect example of the importance of creative teamwork and the ability to be flexible in a way that comes with years of experience. We loved filming Bradley and Bridget's wedding, even in these unexpected and challenging conditions. They are an incredible couple, super fun and game for anything we came up with. Their photographers, Susanna and Greg, were a dream to work with. They understood that what we are providing is more than films and photos. It's both the experience for our couples, and the way we capture their memories that matters.

Just Won The BAPVA Film Competition | Caitlin & Matt's Wedding at The Hideout in Tahoe

We are so excited to announce that Caitlin and Matt's film won the Bay Area Professional Videographers Association film competition!!! It's such an honor to have this group of talented cinematographers choose our film for first place.

The Hide Out is one of those hidden gems that you dream about. But this is no dream, it's a stunning spot tucked away in the Sierra Nevadas outside of South Lake Tahoe. The property spans 40 acres of pristine high mountain terrain. It is a truly lovely spot, and on this wedding day it was filled with the most gorgeous warm mountain light. Simply put, it was the perfect backdrop for Caitlin and Matt's wedding!

When Caitlin and Matt emailed us about being a part of their wedding, we were over the moon about it. We filmed Matt's sister's wedding years ago and could not wait to be a part of another milestone in their amazing family's journey.

Caitlin's impeccable design sense came shining through, when she chose a dress that incorporated the work of two different designers, Berta with a Monique Lhuillier skirt. The outcome was one of the most beautiful dresses we have seen in years. The way it fit her was perfect, and the way the light played through it was to die for!

We had such a fantastic time working with everyone at this wedding. Caitlin, Matt, and their families and friends were so much fun, and the group of vendors brought together for this day were outstanding. Heather and her team from All Set events were really fun to work with, and they made sure every part of this day came together perfectly. Josh, from Josh Elliot Photography, was such a pleasure to work alongside all day. It's teamwork, like this group had, that makes it possible for us to create the films we do! Qie and Can’s Wedding at Nestldown in Los Gatos | Highlights Film

With the light rain falling outside this morning, it seemed like the perfect day to share this fall wedding. On Qui and Can's wedding day at Nestldown in Los Gatos, it sprinkled all morning and cleared up just in time for the ceremony and photos. With the pitter-patter of rain outside everyone got ready in the warmth of the house overlooking the barn and pond. I love the way we were able to shoot the first sight on the covered deck and capture that sweet moment when these two saw each other for the first time on their big day.

With Qie and Can all snuggled up and warm in the barn, we headed to the redwoods to get some B-roll. The footage we got was worth every minute we spent in the rain, it turned out gorgeous. The redwoods and ferns are always a striking sight, but filming them in the rain was breathtaking.

Nestldown offers great opportunities for natural light photography and cinematography and with Lindsey and Nathan (from Bellalu Photography) by our sides, we were able to take full advantage of it. One of our favorite things about Nestldown is the orchards. In the fall, the persimmon trees light up with fiery jewel tones and on this day the wet leaves made them even more vibrant.

Featured on SMP | Stephanie and Sean’s Calistoga Ranch Wedding

We are so excited that Stephanie and Sean's gourgious wedding at Calistoga Ranch was featured on SMP. Their fall wedding had that perfect California weather and all the color of the season. The venue is simply lovely with its vineyards, views and beautiful grounds. Stephanie and Sean had their ceremony in a candle-lit wine cave decorated with pumpkins and pampas grass. Their cocktail hour and dinner took place during sunset by the vineyards.

Here's a little advice Stephanie shared with Style Me Pretty:

"Another golden piece of advice I was given and would absolutely pass on is to budget for a videographer. My wedding planner told me this, and boy am I glad she did. Oftentimes, brides budget for flowers, music and photos. A videographer becomes a “nice to have,” not a “need to have.” We went with Grover Films. Our wedding day was so surreal and overwhelming that I think most brides would agree that when you’re in the moment, it’s easy to miss a lot of the details of your wedding. Sean and I were so relieved to have a video to watch long after it was all over. It was incredible to see everything again – to go back in time and relive those moments – and it’s a different experience than simply looking at photos."

Alli & Ryan's Tehama Wedding | Feature FIlm

Tehama Golf Course in Carmel, with its old oak trees, expansive views and beautiful Spanish-style clubhouse, is a fantastic destination for a wedding. We just love how the layout of this venue allows us to be around for all the action of a wedding day. Everything is so beautiful, and so close, that multi-tasking is a breeze. It was ideal for capturing all the details and precious moments with this couple, and their sweet family and friends. There were a lot of them for us to film!

This was the perfect location for Alli and Ryan to celebrate their love and commitment with family and friends. The vistas are endless, the buildings are beautiful and there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the day.

Alli and Ryan got ready in the beautiful rooms off of the courtyard. Their ceremony overlooked the whole Monterey Bay, and cocktail hour on the terrace featured views of the beautiful rolling hills towards sunset. It couldn't have been lovelier.

Whitney & Aaron's Nestldown Wedding | Short Film

This dreamy location, tucked away in the hills of Los Gatos, has been one of our favorites since the first time we saw it. It has a natural beauty and elegance all it's own and looks gorgeous in every season. It was the perfect fit for Whitney and Aaron's beautiful spring wedding. The lush greens of Nestldown went perfectly with their soft green and champagne color pallet. We love the way the moss runners and soft ferny florals complimented Nestldown's natural beauty. The overall look was a beautiful balance of the surrounding nature and understated elegance.
