Award Winning Film Featured on Green Wedding Shoes ~ Betty & Jonathan's Sequoia Retreat Center Wedding

Betty and Jonathan's film won first place at the 2017 BAPVA film competition! And was featured on Green Wedding Shoes today!
Betty and Jonathan planned a wedding in the woods surrounded with their closest family and friends from across the country. They fell in love with the Sequoia Retreat Center's stunning redwood amphitheater, where they held their ceremony. And as we got to know them, we fell in love with the sweet romance between them and the relaxed way they embraced their wedding day. It was picture perfect in every way.
For their film they wanted the forest setting and the beauty of the nature all around them to shine through. With the focus on the two of them, and their love, they were looking for a film that would flow in a way that would incorporate bits of their vows and loved ones' speeches. When it came to music, they gave us free rein, and we are so glad they did. What we found for them turned out to be a bit different, as you may have noticed. We listened to countless songs in choosing the perfect one for them. We wanted the song to fit them and their special day. We were over-the-moon when they loved the music we chose as much as we did! I have to give a special thanks to Rose for the pep talk she gave me before the first look, which definitely made me feel less nervous, and I know Betty was very appreciative of Rose’s help every time she needed to grab her dress on our field trip through the woods. ”

We also have to mention the incredible team of vendors these two brought together to create and capture their wedding. Everyone was a dream to work with. Jakob from Nordica Photography has an impeccable eye for light and was a fantastic collaborator. He was up for anything, and shared our vision for capturing these two in the stunning setting they picked for their big day. Jessica from Art & Soul Events did a fantastic job coordinating this day! She is based in LA, but you would never know it, she seamlessly brought this outdoor forest wedding to life, like she had worked in the woods a million times.
