We are so excited to announce that Caitlin and Matt's film won the Bay Area Professional Videographers Association film competition!!!  It's such an honor to have this group of talented cinematographers choose our film for first place.

The Hide Out is one of those hidden gems that you dream about. But this is no dream, it's a stunning spot tucked away in the Sierra Nevadas outside of South Lake Tahoe. The property spans 40 acres of pristine high mountain terrain. It is a truly lovely spot, and on this wedding day it was filled with the most gorgeous warm mountain light. Simply put, it was the perfect backdrop for Caitlin and Matt's wedding!

When Caitlin and Matt emailed us about being a part of their wedding, we were over the moon about it. We filmed Matt's sister's wedding years ago and could not wait to be a part of another milestone in their amazing family's journey.

Caitlin's impeccable design sense came shining  through, when she chose a dress that incorporated the work of two different designers, Berta with a Monique Lhuillier skirt. The outcome was one of the most beautiful dresses we have seen in years. The way it fit her was perfect, and the way the light played through it was to die for! 

We had such a fantastic time working with everyone at this wedding.  Caitlin, Matt, and their families and friends were so much fun, and the group of vendors brought together for this day were outstanding.  Heather and her team from All Set events were really fun to work with, and they made sure every part of this day came together perfectly.  Josh, from Josh Elliot Photography, was such a pleasure to work alongside all day. It's teamwork, like this group had, that makes it possible for us to create the films we do! We can't thank these guys and gals enough, you were all the best! To see the full list of this talented team, check out the vendor list below!

Featured on SMP | Stephanie and Sean’s Calistoga Ranch Wedding

We are so excited that Stephanie and Sean's gourgious wedding at Calistoga Ranch was featured on SMP.  Their fall wedding had that perfect California weather and all the color of the season. The venue is simply lovely with its vineyards, views and beautiful grounds. Stephanie and Sean had their ceremony in a candle-lit wine cave decorated with pumpkins and pampas grass. Their cocktail hour and dinner took place during sunset by the vineyards. 

Here's a little advice Stephanie shared with Style Me Pretty:  

"Another golden piece of advice I was given and would absolutely pass on is to budget for a videographer. My wedding planner told me this, and boy am I glad she did. Oftentimes, brides budget for flowers, music and photos. A videographer becomes a “nice to have,” not a “need to have.” We went with Grover Films. Our wedding day was so surreal and overwhelming that I think most brides would agree that when you’re in the moment, it’s easy to miss a lot of the details of your wedding. Sean and I were so relieved to have a video to watch long after it was all over. It was incredible to see everything again – to go back in time and relive those moments – and it’s a different experience than simply looking at photos."

Kim & Jairo's Carmel Valley Ranch Wedding | Short Film

With fields of lavender and rolling hills dappled with old oak trees, the sprawling grounds at Carmel Valley Ranch were the perfect backdrop for Kim and Jairo's wedding film. We knew their wedding was a perfect fit. From the moment we started talking to them about the film they wanted us to create, and their plans for an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour, we couldn't stop thinking about how fun it was going to be to create their film.

"We love our video so much and Thank you so much! It is incredible and perfectly captured our wedding. Our friends are still talking about it! Even people who didn't come to our wedding have said they feel like they were there because of the video.  I shared it with my parents and I thought you'd like to hear my dad's response: 

"Now that our tears have dried on my laptop, I can tell you both your Mom and I loved your video and think that it completely captured that very magical day.  We’ve never seen the kind of artistry that is displayed in the video or a video that was so perfect in how it told your story and conveyed the joy that was shared by everyone.  The only thing that is better is having been a part of that day and we will forever be grateful to you both for making that happen.

Francis and Randi's Thomas Fogarty Winery Wedding | Short Film

What can I say, I adore these two. From the first time we met Randi and Francis we knew they were perfect together and that it was going to be a joy to take part in capturing their wedding. The two of them are so sweet and full of love for each other and the people in their lives. Not to mention, they are hilarious and an absolute blast to be around. 

Their first sight has to be one of the most touching I have had the pleasure of filming.  Even after working on their film for weeks, watching it countless times, I still can't make it though with out tearing up. The love between these two is so heartfelt and genuine it's contagious.

Thomas Fogarty Winery is a stunning venue, and this day with its blustery weather and drifts of fog turned out to be no exception. The weather was dramatic and it made for a day that was exactly what it was meant to be; it was a day focused on love, family, friends. It was a beautiful celebration of the commitment these two amazing people have to one another. We are so happy that we could be a part of it.

Jinah & Richard's Wedding at Willow Heights Mansion | Short Film

Jinah and Richard got married at the beautiful Willow Heights Mansion.  This picturesque spot, surrounded by rolling hills, was the perfect place for this celebration of love. Working with these two fun loving people and their family and friends was such a blast. We love the way all the little details and moments came together as we told their story in this film. As you can see, the day had just the right mix of touching moments and crazy fun.

One of our favorite moments on this day was the gift exchange. Jinah and Richard set aside a couple of extra minutes in the morning to read the cards they wrote to each other and I just love what it adds to their film! 

On this beautiful day we had the pleasure of working alongside Gavin (of Gavin Farrington photography). He has a style of photography that focuses on documenting the day, rarely posing anything, yet capturing everything. Gavin and his second shooter, Susanna, were absolutely fantastic to work with. And their photos? Beautiful. You can find more of his photography here.

Thi & Erich's Wedding at Radonich Ranch | Highlights Film

Thi and Erich's big day was everything we love about wedding celebrations.  It had it all, an amazing couple, a beautiful natural setting, a big group of fantastic people and a whole lot of love. If that wasn't enough, their vows were some of the best we have ever heard and Thi's Dad gave an unforgettably touching toast. This day was perfection!
